Citing TopMVA

If you use or adapt TopMVA, cite the project and preserve attribution to the canonical source. Machine-readable metadata is in CITATION.cff in the repository.

Legal citation formats below are suggested templates, not legal advice. Conform them to the citation rules of your court, journal, or institution.
01 · Version and access-date guidance

Cite the skill version you actually used — it is printed on every skill page and inside each bundle's SKILL.md. Always include an access date: the skills and the underlying Missouri authority file are date-stamped and revised as the law changes. Current project version: 0.2.0 (released 2026-07-17).

04 · Attribution for reuse and adaptation

The skills and written materials are governed by the TopMVA Skills License (the website source code is separately MIT-licensed). When you redistribute or adapt a skill:

  • Preserve the copyright and permission notice, and identify https://topmva.com as the canonical source.
  • Identify your modifications. Each bundle ships an ATTRIBUTION.md with a Modifications: field for exactly this — an adapted skill should say what changed, so its output is never mistaken for the verified original.
  • A hyperlink back is appreciated but does not need to be a followed link — rel="nofollow" attribution is fine.
  • Hosted or SaaS commercialization requires a separate commercial license — see the license.
